Driving to work, a gentlman had to swerve(改变方向) to avoid a box that fell out of a truck in front of him. Seconds later, a policeman pulled him over(叫他靠边停下) for reckless(鲁莽的) driving. Fortunately, another officer had seen the carton(纸板箱) in the road. The policmen stopped traffic and recovered the box. It was found to contain large upholstery tacks(家居装饰用的平头钉).
"I'm sorry sir," the first trooper told the driver, "but I am still going to have to write you a ticket."
Amazed, the driver asked for what.
The trooper replied, "Tacks evasion(躲避)."
笑点(按Ctrl+A或鼠标选中)-> tacks evasion音同tax evasion,后者意为“逃税,漏税”。
