At least five people are dead and many more injured as several fires broke out across Southern California amid historically dry and windy conditions.
Thousands of firefighters are battling at least five major wildfires dotted around the Los Angeles area, as well as several smaller blazes. Thousands of structures have been damaged or destroyed and more than 100,000 people evacuated.
